Tom was the youngest driver ever to pass the MSA driver assessment programme just before his 14th birthday, when he was first granted a competition license. Since then Tom has competed in both the Le Man Series and American Le Man Series, winning at legendary circuits such as Nurbürgring and Laguna Seca.
Tom’s main focus however has been the British Touring Car Championship in which he rewrote the history books to become the youngest driver to make the podium aged just 17, and two years later to become the youngest ever race winner.
After a solid 2010 season Tom became the Independent Driver Champion and the following year he took the Global Ford Focus to its brilliant maiden win. During his BTCC career, Tom racked up 12 wins, 42 Podiums, 10 pole positions and 11 fastest laps.
Tom now looks forward to the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and has spent much of the off season developing the new 1.6 litre turbocharged Ford Focus ahead of his 2012 WTCC campaign.
